How To Take Back Control Over Your Life

How To Take Back Control Over Your Life

x min read

Introduction

This is part 1 to a huge series that will continue on for who knows how long (not me). Taking back control over your life is something everyone needs to do eventually.

At some point, one will come to the realization that life isn’t sunshine and rainbows, and that nobody is coming to save them. School may erase that realization entirely for over a decade; but once it’s all over, it starts kicking in…

Today, I’m going to keep it short but yet still provide the value that many of you here are searching for.

Why Now?

Before we proceed, -yes, this will be somewhat interactive- you need to question yourself.

Why take action now, and not before? What made you start taking action now? If you adapt to a good habit now, will you continue it for as long as necessary if it means that you can finally start taking control over your life?

The point I am trying to reach here is that you need to come to an understanding. What triggered the thoughts that you’re currently experiencing?

Why Do You Care?

Are you negatively impacted as a result of that thing happening? How has it changed you and why?

Wake-Up Call

As every day passes, you continue to do the same things, continue those same habits of yours (good and bad), and just live life like a robot. You watch TV, blindly scroll on social media, get terrible sleep, eat poorly, are suffering financially, and are stuck in a constant loop of making money, spending it, and losing it.

You are stuck, and cannot get out – or so you think.

This world has conditioned you into thinking that those things are ok.

The truth is, as we get smarter and advance further, we too get dumber. Back then, hundreds of years ago, humans used to constantly innovate and we had some of the greatest thinkers of the world.

Since then, we’ve changed for the worse.

Technology has shaped our minds to adapt to bad and sh*tty habits that do no good for us. Sure, we make take a step forward, but the general population takes 2 steps backwards.

What Has Happened

So, now we’re here. We are so extremely advanced and wield unbelievably powerful technologies that would blow the minds of anyone 50 years ago.

But, would it be surprising to say that we have gotten weaker? Maybe to us it would sound completely normal. But, for those in that context, it may sound entirely crazy. Can you really blame them?

We’ve gone backwards as a people and the hope that the next generation holds is pretty much nothing at this point. Influence, power, and money dominates the social space now and what can a 5-year-old really do about someone on the internet saying something absurd? Nothing at all.

What is Going to Happen

I can’t really tell you what’ll happen in 20, 40, or even 50 years from now; but, based on what we’ve seen from the general population recently, it can’t be good.

Sure, there are now good trends over the internet that aim to make men, and people as a whole stronger and and less prone to mental damage over the internet.

But, does that mean that we’re safe?

No, it doesn’t.

We as a people are still heavily influenced by anything that enters our heads, and will follow directions to practically anyone that enters our feed. Sure, maybe it’s good influence, but here that isn’t the point that I’m trying to reach.

We’re still under the influence of thousands of highly influential people that may not have the greatest intentions as they’ve once blinded you to believe.

Why This Has Happened

The Digital Age has transformed us for the better and for the worse. We are smarter, stronger, and more potent, but yet weaker, dumber, and less capable. How is that even possible?

I am the type of person to sit here and tell you that this doesn’t matter, and that all that is important is what is in your power at the moment. But, if you truly want to come to conclusion on what is going on in today’s world, you need to assess what started everything in the first place.

I will cover this in another article in the near future, so stay tuned for this. It’ll be a complete timeline up to now, regarding the digital age, information age, and what converted us from strong to weak.

What You Should & Can Do

I’m going to provide you the answer in a nice, organized bulleted format. I’ll explain it further in a moment:

  1. Question everything
  2. Cut out all your influence
  3. Dopamine Detox
  4. Find yourself
  5. Make everything permanent

What you’re seeing above is a debriefed version of a bigger, badder, and more detailed list regarding all the steps necessary to transform your weak, poor, and incompetent mindset into the exact opposite of what it currently is.

You can do as much research as you’d like in regards to the information above, but I’ll be covering everything inside of it (which is a lot, though it doesn’t seem like it) in future articles here on GG.

Actionable Step

You need to leave here with something. That here is a question:

Why do something now? Why not have done it earlier, or why even bother doing it in the first place?

This is the first phase of your self-assessment. Questioning yourself, your mindset, and who you have become will make you stronger and more aware of the person you have converted into.

Conclusion

When you first clicked on this site, we weren’t lying when we said that this wasn’t just for students in school. GG is for anyone looking to improve their current situation, even if our name doesn’t exactly give off that vibe.

This article is Part 1 of a series called “Taking Back Control”, which’ll teach you everything from the ground up in regards to improving your mindset, leaving behind your old habits, and discovering the person you were originally meant to become.

We figured that this would be the best post to start off with so that readers would know if this suited them well or not. If it did, then that’s great. If not, then it was great having you and we wish you the best of luck.
